The Director, Project Management is responsible for the project schedule, project execution, project budget, coordination of multiple functions, and working with Product Management, Design, and Development teams to deliver the successful completion of new products and tasks within budget and timelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drives development of successful development projects within Packs, Bags & Luggage on time and in budget.
  • Constantly monitor and report on progress of the various projects to all stakeholders.
  • Develop and coordinate detailed work or project plans including work breakdown structures; perform resource planning and utilization, define project scope, critical path and approach; plans for and coordinates the acceptance of project.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring project feasibility.
  • Work with project team to identify, manage and resolve issues affecting project implementation; develop and perform risk analysis to factors affecting success of product launches.
  • Utilizing tracking and reporting tools across all projects, support Product Development, Quality & Sourcing.
  • Project evaluations and assessment of results.
  • Management and development of team members in support of business initiatives.
  • Develop Ad Hoc reports as requested.
  • Other activities as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Prefer PMP certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years professional project management experience required during which at least 2 years are spent leading and directing large project tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project Management Software or equivalent.
  • Well versed in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong influencing skills with proven track record of driving results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail oriented - but well balanced with strategic abilities.
  • Proven track record of problem solving and strong analytical thinking.
  • Experience with soft goods/luggage a plus.
