Work with Production and Product Development to evaluate opportunities for reductions in manufacturing costs using new and current technologies. Work on project teams to bring new products to market and improve current products.


  • Participate on cross functional project teams to bring new products to market and improve current products.
  • Assist Prod Dev in design, detailing and prototyping components for existing and new product designs.
  • Design assembly cells and fixtures with focus on quality, flexibility and efficient change overs.
  • Specify, evaluate and select new equipment.
  • Work with Quality Department and Product Engineering to design processes that ensure good product quality.
  • Work with Quality Control to address component quality and design problems affecting manufacturing process.
  • Troubleshoot and facilitate repair of existing equipment and production processes.
  • Create project documentation (DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions).
  • Assist in improving environmental impact of facility and products.
  • Other functions as required and assigned by the supervisor.


  • 4 year Engineering degree required.
  • 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanically proficient (including use of basic hand, power and machine shop tools).
  • Basic electronics and/or electrical knowledge.
  • Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, Access and Power Point).
  • CAD knowledge and experience (Solidworks and AutoCAD).
  • Proactive and able to work with little supervision.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
